On November 25, 2023, German time, Ge Jing, Chairman of SYS, was invited to lead the team to participate in the annual meeting of German-Chinese Friendship Association and the celebration of the 51st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and China.

This year is the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative and the 51st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and China.

This Sino-German cultural exchange feast was hosted by the Federation of German-Chinese Friendship Associations (FGCA) and organized by the Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Germany, Mr. Zhang Junhui, the Consul General of the Chinese Embassy in Düsseldorf, Mr. Du Chunguo, the Deputy Director General of the Eurasian Department of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), Mr. Lv Hongwei, the President of CPAFFC, Mr. Bubu, and the Chairman of the CPAFFC, Mr. Ge Jing. Dr. Peter Kreutzberger, President of the German-Chinese Friendship Association (GCFA), attended the event and delivered a keynote speech, while representatives of the German-Chinese Friendship Associations from all over Germany attended the event with a total of about 150 people.

Lawyer Wang Yaochen, Vice President of the German-Chinese Friendship Association (DCCA), gave a welcoming speech, pointing out that the current Sino-German relations have both opportunities and challenges, which are epitomized by the 51 years of Sino-German relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Germany, and that we should pay attention to civil diplomacy, so that every friendly person in China and Germany can act as a civil ambassador for Sino-German interactions.

Dr. Boob, President of the German-Chinese Friendship Association (DCCA), recalled that after he took office, he had deepened the relationship between the DCCA and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) as well as Friendship Associations from all over the world by organizing various China-Germany exchanges and broadened the channels of exchanges, thus laying a solid foundation for the close cooperation between Germany and China in the years to come.

Minister Zhang Junhui of the Chinese Embassy in Germany briefly reviewed the development of China-Germany relations this year and pointed out that the current economic situation in China and the new initiatives of reform and opening-up, such as the "Opinions on Further Optimizing the Foreign Investment Environment and Increasing the Efforts to Attract Foreign Investments", the comprehensive abolition of market access for manufacturing industries and the implementation of a unilateral visa-free policy for Germany and other countries announced at the Third Belt and Road Forum have all firmly conveyed an important signal that China needs a high level of opening-up in order to achieve quality development in the future. China needs a high level of openness to realize high-quality development in the future.

On behalf of Ambassador Wu Keng, Minister Zhang expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Federation of German-Chinese Friendship Associations (FGCA) for sparing no effort over the years to promote mutual understanding between the people of China and Germany as well as exchanges and cooperation in various fields and called on the members of the FGCA to work together with the Chinese students and the Chinese diaspora in Germany to contribute their wisdom and strength in deepening the friendship between China and Germany and in promoting cooperation and mutual understanding.

Ms. Ge Linxi, representative of SYS, made a keynote speech with the example of the K20 Eco-Park construction project in Beijing Shunyi Sino-German Industrial Park, focusing on the analysis of the development difficulties encountered by Chinese and German enterprises in the process of cooperation, especially the German small and medium-sized enterprises after they entered the Chinese market, as well as the paths and methods for the Chinese and German parties to use platform thinking to solve these difficulties and realize win-win cooperation.
